If the adoptee father wants to change name then he has to take an order from the court for name change then you can opt for name change because in adoption court order is necessary for name change in adoptee child’s birth certificate.

Once the adoption order has been granted then the copy of the adoption order related to the child will be sent to you by the Court where the hearing happened. This document is known as an adoption certificate and replaces the original birth certificate for all legal purposes.
After a child is adopted, a new “amended birth certificate” will be issued. The new birth certificate of a child will have the names of adopted parents rather than their biological parents. The amended birth certificate will also include the child’s new name, if their name is being changed.
In nearly every state, adoption records are sealed and withheld from public inspection after an adoption is finalized. However, most states have also established procedures allowing you to obtain your adoption records.
Parents can change their adopted child name if they don’t want to carry their name which matches with their birth family. You can change your adopted baby’s first name, middle name, last name or full name. You have a right only you have to follow some legal procedure to change his/her name legally.
A new “amended birth certificate” will be issued after adoption of a child. A new birth certificate contains the names of the adoptive parents instead of biological parents’ names. And the new birth certificate will also contain the child’s name, if their name is being changed.
